I saw this bird in my yard today, in northern Illinois. My best guess from the Merlin app is that this is a Yellow-throated Vireo, but this bird doesn't have the distinct yellow eyering of the vireo, and it seems to have a dark gray patch below the yellow neck. Any help would be appreciated.   YellowHeadAtHome01YellowHeadAtHome02

It looks like a Black-throated Green Warbler. A Yellow-throated Vireo would have a thicker bill, yellow "spectacles," an entirely yellow throat and upper chest with no black markings below, and no dark streaks on the chest and flanks.

Thank you, Hendrik. That looks way more like this bird than the vireo.
