    bird upside downI had a heck of a time with the negative space drawing - gave up.   However, I did use the proportion info when doing this one upside down.   It didn't look great upside down but right side up = OK.   Maybe I'll try the negative drawing using the proportion idea.   The feet really surprised me.

    thumbnail Never heard of this.   First art class - I read through the other replies and said umm - umm to all of the comments.  Flower, et all are really hysterical.    This requires more attention for sure.

    It is easier as the subject remains stationary. Feathers and shadings are a challenge with a pencil.  Closer look brings the tree branch details  - the lichen and moss.  The absolute black eye.  Leg angles - Nature journaling reqyellow warbler draw 1uires these details.
