1. I would tell my neighbor squirrels and chipmunks along with the stray cat are worse. 2. There is a nest of crows in my neighbors big tree here in Parma, Ohio. I love to hear them in the morning.

This course has reinforced the importance of birds to me not only are they beautiful and fun to watch they serve a purpose in helping preserve our natural resources. I have begun planting bird friendly plants but they must be deer resistant plants. I also recycle plastic, aluminum cans, paper/cardboard whatever I can. I have noticed the resurgence in raptors in my lifetime and decline in small song birds and ravens and crows. As a child I never saw Canada Geese and now they are all over the place. Watching birds help me relax and destress I have a bird bath for them and what fun they are to watch! I can't wait for a little warmer weather to head off to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and set up my new scope up to do some birdwatching.

Along the Cuyahoga River will have area's where the Green Heron, Great Blue Heron search for food along the river in more shallow areas and then there are Mallards diving in the deeper areas. Further away from river are a pair of Bald Eagles nesting. In the forest area's I see Nuthatches, Brown Creepers, Pileated Woodpeckers and downy woodpeckers. On Roger Road I noticed more waterfowl and at Mt. Lemmon more smaller song birds. At Down house I noticed more medium sized birds along with gulls from a nearby shore and at Sevenoaks I notices lots of waterfowl and birds that nest near ponds.

At the bird feeder today the Blue Jay would take a seed and fly away and eat it them come back and get another seed and repeat. The Mourning Doves were foraging on the ground and the sparrows just hung on the metal change and ate until something startle them and then they all flew away.

At my favorite spot, in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in the Spring I will see Robins, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Sparrows, Canada Geese, Mourning Doves, Downy Woodpeckers, Mallards, Green Herons and Great Blue Herons. As it becomes Summer I will see Goldfinches and then when it turns to Winter the Robins, Goldfinches, Green Heron and Great Blue Herons migrate South and are replaced with Tufted Titmice, Dark eyed Juncos and Carolina Chickadees.

While looking out my patio door I saw Robins, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Canada Geese and sparrows. I didn't know that I might see yellow or black billed Cuckoos, common tern and blue grosbeak.

Today I saw large bodied Canada Geese grey and in white in color flying by and at my birdbath medium size birds Cardinals, Robins and Blue Jays. The Robin was running on the grass to different spots to listen for worms, the sparrow was hopping around and then pecking in the dirt.

1. The birds I like best on the Wall of Birds are the Puffin, Great Blue Heron and Ruby Throated Hummingbird. 2. I have Ruby Throated Hummingbirds stop by my flowers and occasionally a Downy Woodpecker will stop by to peck on deck railing during the Summer. I have Mourning Doves and Rock Pigeons sit on the wires behind my house. At the Recreation Center near my home I will see Killdeer nesting during the Summer. 3. My favorite birds that live in my neighborhood are: (1) Great Blue Herons as there is a heronry not to far from where I live. I love to watch them nesting. (2) Ruby Throated Hummingbirds. (3) Robins. My very favorite bird is the White Stork.
