Did this from a photo I took while out hiking. I found the thistle difficult to get the colour accurate and the spikes were challenging. I’ve never used water colour before, I really enjoyed it. I’m happy with how the bumble turned out.
This was fun. Slowly getting better at drawing what I see. I’m still finding that drawing in the field is very challenging, photos are easier.. they don’t decide to leave just as you get started 🙂. Jen
I found this very challenging but was amazed how the grapefruit took shape.
Its a relaxing exercise to closely observe such everyday objects. I found this time of day( late afternoon)the light changed quickly so I just had to pick one and go with it.
I have a keen interest in nature and spend many hours alone enjoying the woods near my home. I do not have any art experience at all but wanted to explore that side of myself. This course seemed like a good way to combine my interests.
I really like the idea of a monthly page in my journal. Where I live is very seasonal and it would be fun to capture the monthly rhythms with art. We’ll see how it goes! Jenny
