This year has been pretty slow in terms of bird activity. Compared to last year. Not many migrants, barely any hummingbirds.

This one's a Hairy Woodpecker so how long its bill is compared to its head it is almost the same length as its head. Whereas the Downy Woodpecker is only about half the size of the head. Hope this helps!

What you call a "black cardinal" is actually named a Phainopepla. Hope this helps!

That isn't a Magnificent Frigatebird, thetas a Brown Booby.

That is a northern mockingbird.

You have to types of finches that are in your area right now: purple finches and house finches. House finches have a bright red head and breast and rump. Purple finches have raspberry red heads, breasts, and top half their backs. Hope this helps!

My favorite birds around here are Painted Bunting, Peregrine Falcon, and Wood Duck.

Recently we have had a White-winged dove, a rare species in our area! It comes to our feeder.

We have a pair of Eastern Bluebirds in our nest box too.

This bird sounds like an Indigo Bunting or a Mountain Bluebird, depending on where you live.
