- Measuring proportions makes it easier to get the height or length or width of some object when drawing exactly.
- Though it is hard measuring the proportion in some objects in the field, comparatively it's easy with most.
- It gives you an idea of how you should draw the subject.

HimeshaParticipantContour drawing is fun but actually it's a little hard because I get pretty tempted to see my paper and where my hand is. Even though it's hilarious at the end, it helped me to keep my focus on the subject and I noticed tiny details on the outline of it as well.in reply to: Focusing on Your Subject – Blind Contour Drawing #808745

- Yes, it was easy to see where how to apply drawing techniques.
- Yes, I'm comfortable in putting marks on the page no when sketching.
- It's a little bit difficult to identify the dark and reflection light on some objects easily.

- When you draw, you pay attention to all the details in the photo, even the tiny ones. But when just looking at a photo, you don't notice those tiny details.
- Drawing this photo was very interesting. I'm a little bit sad, because I don't know how to paint properly. Hoping to learn it here.
- Drawing the bird was easy but getting it's beak right was challenging. Still couldn't get it right.
- Yes, there is a lot that I wouldn't have noticed if I didn't draw this. I wouldn't have noticed how it's feathers are placed, how it's legs are placed and how the branches are.
- This would help me to notice more details when nature journaling.
