CandyParticipantI probably am better sticking to pencil and eraser vs overworked watercolors but colors are fun. I tried to better measure proportions (except the big eye) and use short/lighter pencil marks.in reply to: See How Far You’ve Come #772086

CandyParticipantI had most success with wet on dry and layering, requiring dry time. Can the mixed paints sit in the pallette for a day or so? Seems difficult to recreate the same color mixes. I feel that my wet on wet and dry on dry skills need more practice. I would like make better impressions of
snow, water, and sky using wet on wet.

CandyParticipantThis exercise requires patience and focus. I had the most difficulty with the splotchy
belly shapes because they are more irregular and "floating" vs connected by other lines.

CandyParticipantThe eagle was sitting in this tree for quite a while, just moving the head to different positions. Because it was gloomy and the bird about 200 feet away, I took a photo, zoomed in and brightened it to better see the side wings, feet, etc.in reply to: Getting the Proportions Right #750472
