first watercolor attempt ever- lilac breasted roller- one of my favorite birds. Really enjoyed this- I have learned so much from this outstanding course
I’m having a lot of trouble with this- so tempting to pause the video, but I resisted. Tried to focus just on mama’s head, then just kit’s head. I plan to practice this a lot more. It’s hard to get loose enough and keep that pencil moving. Enjoying the challenge.
I grew up and spent my early adulthood in an apartment in the Bronx. I am now 77 years old and have lived for over 40 years in Bucks County PA. The house I live in is the first actual house I ever lived in. I still don’t take it for granted that my back yard leads to woods, and that nature is all around me.
I chose my porch for my first sit spot. I still thrill to the fact that I have a porch- even after all these years. I often sit out there, but it was especially lovely to observe and to journal . I look forward to more as Spring brings its changes.
I want to title my journal Nature in the Time of CoVid 19. I need the beauty and continuity of nature to offset the fear and chaos of this pandemic. I have been able to go outside to walk and sit in peaceful, beautiful, and healing places. Now I want to create a story from these experiences.
