Video Pausing or Freezing

If your video pauses during playback or freezes completely, try reducing the video quality to fix the problem.
To reduce video quality, do the following:

  1. Click on the gear icon in the bottom right of the video player. This will open a menu with options for speed and quality.
  2. Click on Quality which will display a list of numbers.
  3. Select 240p.

This is the lowest quality video and it may not look great. If lowering the quality solves the problem, you can keep trying the next higher setting until it stops working and then step back to the last working quality.

Pausing or freezing video is usually the result of a slower or intermittent internet connection. Lowering the video quality allows the video to load faster on slow connections.

Video Won’t Play Because of Privacy Settings

Instead of a video, you’re seeing a black box with the message “Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here”.

This is being caused by settings on your browser. There are two possible steps you can take to solve this.

Ad-blocking extension: If you installed an ad-blocking extension to your web browser, you might have to disable it on our site and reload the page. If this doesn’t fix the issue, or you didn’t install an adblocker, then try the next fix.
