Thanks for your comment. The size of the father was indicated in the picture (~10 cm). I think the feather is more likely a contour feather. I don't know where was it found. A friend has been collecting small feather for years and she had a big box full of them I picked this up for my hat. Is it from a gallinaceous bird?
