Interesting experiment (towards a phD at that time I gather). That brings 2 questions if I may:

1) Why did it take 10 years to get from experimental data to this fascinating slideshow?

2) I don't know how those chicks perceived it at the time, but is it a good idea to switch around baby birds, even in the name of science?
