First off I grew up on a small island. There was no electricity until after I had graduated from University - No connect between the two. I grew up in a dark world - Kerosene, light from the fire. moonlight and the Lighthouse were the main sources. So the island was safe - impossible to get lost so I travelled the woods, the marshs the dunes, the shores and the fields night and day. Never with a light. So it wasn't long before Owls and I crossed paths. Lots of observations but no book learning. Growing up like that stood me in good stead latter in life. The dark never held any fear for me so I had lots of encouneters with Owls. And I loved them all. I've lots of owl stories - more than my fingers can type! I hope this course rounds out my Owl knowledge somewhat - even so it would be impossible to but scratch the surface of Owl knowledge - they are so secretive !
