Winter is starting to pack up and go here in Sweden, and as the first signs of spring arrived, the birds at my feeder vanished.  It is said here that fishing in early spring is not usually successful as the fish stop eating and start breeding.  Could that be also true for the birds that over winter with us here in Stockholm?  I am assuming the behaviour would be the same in North America...
