The 2024 Paul C. Mundinger Distinguished Lectureship will be given by Dr. Kristin Ruegg, Associate Professor of Biology at Colorado State University.
Half of the songbird species of the Western Hemisphere are in decline, including migratory birds that travel vast distances between breeding and wintering areas. The Bird Genoscape Project, a collaborative effort by scientists from across the Western Hemisphere, seeks to map the migratory routes of songbirds using genetic tools to help reverse population declines. Learn how feathers and DNA are used to build the next frontier of bird conservation.
