Spotted this bird yesterday July 6 between 5 and 6:30 pm in our backyard of Niagara Falls ON. It is not a pigeon or dove. Size is between a Robin and a Grackle. Note the long pointy yellow beak. The claws are branch clinger type. These are the best photos we have at the moment. We are confirming that it is white as it flew and landed in a few spots where we could clearly see its colour. We suspect it may be a small white Grackle or perhaps a white Red Wing Black Bird. It did fly away with a small flock of the latter. Thanks for any help provided. You must be logged in to reply to this topic.

Definitely a European Starling

The overall shape, pointed bill, small eye, and angled head point towards European Starling.
-
The bill shape and structure point European Starling. It does look like an albino with that fully white plumage and red eye.
-
Blue jay maybe. Maybe a European starling.

That looks kind of like a European Starling, a young one. This could have been the lighting that made the birds look whitish. Here is a picture of a Juvenal Starling. Sorry that it is blurry.
