      Sorry the photo is not great.  Took this through a double-pane window and screen. Could this be a juvenile Great-Crested Flycatcher?  We spotted two adults, one carrying nesting material, earlier in the season.  Wondered if this could be a young one? Thanks for any help :)   _MG_7232-Edit-Edit

      Based on the photo, it might be a ash-throated flycatcher since it gets that whitish chest.

      I think you are probably correct. It is definitely a flycatcher of some sort. Notice that the wings do not have markings of other flycatchers such as the Acadian, and it is brown rather than the olive of others. As you can see, there is a slight crest, which is a characteristic of a great crested. If you can tell me your approximate location and the habitat it was spotted in, I will give you a definite ID.

        Good idea I agree with your conclusion, but i think it might be a little small for a Great crested Flycatcher. I think your right though!

        The photo was taken in upstate NY.  The bird was in our yard, but we're in a very rural area surrounded by hay fields, ponds and mixed deciduous/evergreen forests. I'm not great at flycatcher IDs.  I have to hear a vocalization before I feel comfortable on an ID.  This little gal/guy didn't make a peep. Thanks!
