      I have noticed this week that when a kingbird stands in a cable, hummingbirds begin mocking it, by flying side to side in a pendulum motion, trying to hit him in the head. What is the reason for this behavior?

      I know they are territorial but they don't seem to bother the Bullock's orioles that feast at their feeders.  Maybe nearby nest?

      They could think of him as a predator, like how crows mob hawks, but I'm not sure and have never seen this.
