      Wow! One time I saw some on the creek that i live on. It was two Black Bellied Whistling ducks, with a small chick!

        To me, photographing birds has two main parts: the bird (try to go as near as possible) and the light. When I was photographing this duck, it was a little overexposed, so I came back home and adjusted the photo: when I made the duck’s head looks brighter, it’s background darkened, creating this ‘dramatic’ scenario. Just if you are wondering, I used a very old (about 60 years old) 135 mm Leitz lens with a Sigma fp body.
