A Broad-winged hawk is always around my neighbors old apple tree, and when it visits, American Robins go at it (see American Robin below). I think its a female, and I named it Chestnut. It really is a beautiful bird, and I believe it could be a juvenile. There was a Broad-winged hawk pair back in May, mating, so that's why I consider the possibility of it being a juvenile.
