c 5:15 each morning - male cardinal sings for 20 seconds. Saw male and female numerous times around house for weeks. No nest site around here that would match what is typical for them. I am sure they are nesting here somewhere given the male's wakeup calls. But no clue where. Do they sometimes nest very high in bare trees - no leaves yet here.??
