That is a dark-eyed junco slate colored.

Yes this is a Dark-eyed Junco (Slate-colored). Note the light colored bill and the dark eyes. This is one of the birds we teach in the Feeder Bird Identification and Behavior course.

I would confirm it as a junco based on the size, color, and markings. Looks good!

Hi, yes it is. I get many of these birds in my yard in Toronto. Usually they hang out together in groups and search for food on the ground. Then, if they see me they quickly fly off to hide in the juniper trees nearby.
