I did the practice painting with the different tips but I haven't figured out how to get the picture I took of the paining onto this forum. I have a Mac computer, so maybe someone can give me a tip? I got it!

I've got the first test pages put into a little reference booklet. It's nice and compact.

I've taken a number of painting classes over the years, and I believe this is the first time the instructor has taken the time to have us get familiar with the tools and their capabilities to such length before we actually get started on the primary subjects. Although I'm new to water-brushes, I am comfortable with watercolors, acrylics and oils--and I've still learned something new. Good practice! I can't wait to use the techniques we're learned on birds. Thanks, Jane.

I hadn't used water brushes before - having a blast! B

Hello, I was wondering if these same water brushes you use to paint murals with? Along these same lines, what paint do you recommend using on a wall? This is all very exciting! Thanks

This is the first place I see that we can comment. I wanted to make a suggestion. It would be nice if you would be able to put together a supplies kit as an option to purchase. I have had a hard time finding the supplies even online, and I am still looking for a couple items. I had to purchase from several different companies, and still not finished. This is my first ever art class and I really wanted to start with the items you recommend so that I will have the best chance of success! :) ;)

Hello! I did put together a list on Amazon. I thought it would be helpful also so it is public. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3LVJUCP2IZ4X2?ref_=wl_share The prices have been going up and down almost daily so if you are patient, wait for it go on sale. Blessings, Jessica

@Jessica I found the supply list very helpful, thank you. Ordering from Blick Art Supplies was super easy. B

@Jessica Hi Jessica, thanks so much for making this amazon list to share! What a thoughtful thing to do! Could you add the palette itself to your list? Or replace the palette paper with this link instead? I can't figure out how to add it to your list... Well this is fun. Haven’t done any painting in a long time. Jo in Australia

I'm not achieving a huge differentiation in line weights with the different brushes yet, but I'm sure that will come with practice.

I am using a Sakura medium water brush , and a set of 3 that is a different brand (NIJI). I quite enjoy the fine tip one, but found that it was leaking water drops frequently - not ideal! I will have to invest in the Pentel brand soon.
