I'm following the standard practice of cleaning my hummingbird feeders with hot water and brushes, and also giving them a deep clean with vinegar once in awhile as recommended on many websites. However, someone recently asked me if hummingbird feeders can be cleaned with a baby bottle sterilizer appliance. She's willing to give it to me if this this is something that would be okay. I Googled this and can't find any discussion of using sterilizer appliances. Can anyone here point me in the right direction? It would be wonderful to get official word from a Bird Academy volunteer/staff member if possible. Thanks!
