Hi my name is Karen Finn, We live SD and a beautiful Red Robin built her nest in my fake plant. Well all 3 of her babies fledged and are just fine I hope. Anyway I looked in the nest and thier in one egg in thier that she left. Does that mean it's not viable? How long do we leave the nest and egg thier? Have a call into wildlife, but still waiting thier call! City girl here. It was the most beautiful thing in the world watching this for a month. Thank you, KarenYou must be logged in to reply to this topic.

Plus, that happened in 2023, 😅 so that bird got too cold. 🥶

Yeah… that baby bird will never hatch. 😔 i had a similar thing happen with eastern bluebirds who had made a nest in our yard. We also got to watch robins fledge. They were just hopping around after their dad and fluttering down from high logs and things like that. So cute!!! 🥰 i love them.

It has not hatched for a month! It is then inviable.
