The following are the damages of invasive parrots to the natural ecosystem in Beykoz forests. The reproduction of bird species such as green and small green woodpecker and Pied forest and pied woodpecker is decreasing, while I used to observe green woodpecker and Small green woodpecker and Forest Pied woodpecker and Pied woodpecker bird more often, I have found that it does not account for half of the population now. the consequences of the ecosystem damaged by invasive parrots in Beykoz grove in the years 2019 to 2024. The green woodpecker, the little green woodpecker, the Forest pied woodpecker and Pied woodpecker birds and parrots are the reason for the decrease in the Squirrel population. Parrots have built a lot of nests in trees during bird migration and breed twice a year, the lack of natural enemies has accelerated their reproduction. the consequences of the ecosystem damaged by invasive parrots in the Küçük çamlıca grove in the years 2019 to 2024. Before the parrots bred in the Küçük çamlıca grove, 2 pairs of Ibibik birds were breeding, but now there is no current breeding record of Ibibik birds that have become homeless due to parrots. The population of Forest pied and Pied woodpeckers in Küçük çamlıca grove was higher than in other Istanbul groves, but now the number of Pied woodpeckers has decreased a lot, and I estimate that there is no more than 1 pair left for küçük çamlıca grove, but previously the total of 6 pairs of forest pied and Pied woodpecker population was depleted or left the area, because I counted more than six woodpeckers every day when I started walking in küçük çamlıca, but now it is rarely observed in küçük çamlıca. Great tit,Spotted flycatcher,Hedgerow bird , Blue tit,Long-tailed tit,Red-backed spiderbird, Brushbird,Vernier brushbird, Songbird species such as chivgin used to prefer deciduous trees, but with the arrival of parrots, small songbirds began to prefer evergreen trees because they got rid of hunting by choosing evergreen trees to avoid hunting when there would be prey in the open, and thus the population of small songbirds increased as before, but the Woodpecker and Ibibik population in Little chamlica may be extinct. The population of animals such as Woodpeckers and Ibibik and Squirrels that cannot keep up with parrots may decrease due to parrots in Istanbul, and the bird species I count for istanbul may become rare. The number of parrots can be reduced by natural methods. It is necessary to train endangered born species for parrots to hunt, and parrots are fast-flying birds, but Born birds are faster than parrots, and the population of endangered born birds can increase and help them reproduce, if done, the parrot population will decrease and it will become easier to control. You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
