I have always been fascinated by the intersection of arts and science. I write science books for kids, and many of my friends are illustrators, so making art about science was a natural next step. The first journal in the examples shown appealed to me most because it had a nice balance of art and text. As a writer, my journals tend to be text-heavy, and I’d like to move towards incorporating more art, so doing the art first was a great suggestion for me.
