    This course has completely changed how I look at birds and how I feel about bird conservation. This course was great hope all of you fellow birders learned a lot too.

    I am really new to using ebird and after learning about I really find it interesting. My first trip ebirding I was able to identify some Canada Goose, female Hooded Merganser, and a Malard duck.

    After about 10 minutes listening different I could identify a blue Jay, chipping sparrow, house wren, and also a morning dove. It was interesting who many different sounds these birds can make.

    I have two at my feeder a Male and a female. Its amazing how different a Males and females are.

    While watching birds outdoors I was able to positively identify a Downy Woodpecker and a house wren moving into a bird box.  Also a common robin and multiple Bluejays.

    Today in my yard I had to Morning Doves a male and a female, but I wasn't sure what they were looking for let me know if anyone has any ideas.

    One of my favorite birds is the Hooded Merganser. I love watching it and identifying it. The three different ways I identified it was it's behavior because it swims. It's coloring with its black hood and partially brown on its body. Lastly, I was able to identify it by the duck's size it is larger than a crow.download (3)

    sage grouseMy favorite bird of all time is the Sage Grouse. I have never seen one in person, but I have watched multiple documentaries on these creatures. The way these birds strut an live is amazing.
