One of my teachers explained to us how the environment nurtures us, so it's our duty to take care of it and that always stuck with me. It made me feel as if I had a duty to take care of the environment.

My favourite way to explore nature is by simply going outside with no set plan or detailed trip. I find that we always have the best and most memorable experiences when trips are more spontaneous and there's no expectations.

I sometimes babysit my younger cousin and whenever it rains we would make paper boats, put on raincoats and float them in the streams and puddles. During camp, I would also do an outdoor scavenger hunt with the students. Whether it was rainy or sunny, there's plenty of outdoor activities to do with children.

My family and I would always go camping during the summer and those were some of my favourite trips as well. When I was younger, I remember catching butterflies, going on hikes, stargazing or swimming at the beach. I would always be doing some type of activity outdoors. Now I find spending time in nature more calming and healing. It's therapeutic and helps me connect better with the outdoors and myself. Every camping trip was memorable and I always gained something out of it.
