The feet were the last major adjustment for me. Looking forward to moving on to painting.   PXL_20230906_163340151~2

It should be about 3 eyeballs, from the top of the eyeball to the top of the crown going straight up, round the crown and then adjust the angle of crest up. That should help.

What does chirps beside your drawing mean?

Hi Debbie. Chirps are just a way to keep track of how active users are in the discussion. They are calculated based on each user's participation–1 point (or chirp) for replying to someone, 5 points for starting a new topic.

IMG_7213This was my 3rd northern cardinal attempt and each time I seem to do one thing a bit better. Need to keep practicing!

First time posting. I love this course. I have carved and painted birds and bird watched for long time, but could never transfer painting birds to flat art. This course is giving me just what I hoped for.A8F46DC0-CDE2-4EF6-945C-4759EDDDDA15

I can relate...the feathers are driving me crazy, testing my patience and I wondered ...how did I choose to draw birds!?!??

    • I think my problem is that I am impatient when it comes to drawing feathers.  I think I tend to rush to "finish the drawing".  I'll keep working on this however.  Seeing what others have done has given my a better idea of what I need to work on. Northern Cardinal JLF 01272023
