The feet were the last major adjustment for me. Looking forward to moving on to painting.

I think the wings ended up too short.
-
This was fun getting into details. I still can't draw a straight parallel line!

Te expression looks a little sad for some reason
-
It should be about 3 eyeballs, from the top of the eyeball to the top of the crown going straight up, round the crown and then adjust the angle of crest up. That should help.

What a cute bird! 👍🏻 Great job!

Got the feathers in now!!

What does chirps beside your drawing mean?
-
ElizabethBird AcademyHi Debbie. Chirps are just a way to keep track of how active users are in the discussion. They are calculated based on each user's participation–1 point (or chirp) for replying to someone, 5 points for starting a new topic.
-
@Elizabeth I was wondering the same thing!
-
@Elizabeth Then i have a lot of chirps!

This was my 3rd northern cardinal attempt and each time I seem to do one thing a bit better. Need to keep practicing!

Love it. Well done

First time posting. I love this course. I have carved and painted birds and bird watched for long time, but could never transfer painting birds to flat art. This course is giving me just what I hoped for.

Your drawing looks great.

So I tried once more and tried to be patient and draw the feathers.
-
Nice!
-
I can relate...the feathers are driving me crazy, testing my patience and I wondered ...how did I choose to draw birds!?!??

I think my problem is that I am impatient when it comes to drawing feathers. I think I tend to rush to "finish the drawing". I'll keep working on this however. Seeing what others have done has given my a better idea of what I need to work on.
