During this time of pandemic isolation and restricted movement here in Australia I have been enjoying the change of pace and getting out into natural spaces near to home when I can. It is nice to be able to spend time just sitting noticing and wondering. Here are a few of my Journalling attempts
Have been doing a bit more practice with capturing the light values of objects, I think there is some improvement! and I feel more confident of putting pencil to paper to create an image.
I wasn't entirely happy with how this turned out, found it hard to get the proportions right and spent too much time fiddling with it. Found it difficult to get the angle of the beak right and the positioning of the legs - details that I probably would not have observed so closely had I not been trying to draw it.
