My drawing would overlap a lot and the beginning did not meet the end but I had parts of each I could identify with the picture.  The limbs were always larger than they should be even though I imagined them too skinny.

I can see the changes in light on objects a lot more now.  My eye searches for the different shades in the shadow too.  I am drawing objects to compare shading so yes drawing a lot more than I ever have before and enjoying learning about light reflection.  I have never studied that before now.

I like detail but have a terrible memory so love photos.  I can also reflect on what I did see and not just try to remember it.  I was drawn to the colors more due to the greyish background and was interested in everything my eye could take in.  The Lichen and type of holly tree all made me curious.  I worry I may not do well in nature with just my eye and memory to catch the true subjects.  I tend to question what plants are around me, tree, flowers or weeds so I think I can see those as well as the bird or creature and learn about them too.

I love all these journals!  What an inspiration to get out and document the earth!  I have so many pictures of wildlife on my phone and would love to have a documentation of the description but never thought of journaling at that moment!  It is going to be a great year to try and document my outer world.  I really am interested in finding out the scientific names and information on flora and fauna I see to remember so the scientific journaling appealed to me most.  I may print some pictures I already have and try incorporating them into the journal so I can document what they are and where I experienced them so I can have that to reflect on.
