RaeganParticipantTip for those using pencil with watercolor (so mostly everyone) try using kneaded erasers, the help keep the occasional smear at bay. it also helps fade the pencil to make your art look neater. I never knew their was different techniques for water color! I'm definitely no pro with water colors so this course is helping a lot!in reply to: Getting Comfortable with Watercolor #1001734

RaeganParticipantThe where moving so swiftly my page is full of scribbles! The foxes where great practice though. It looked like the mom was trying to be intimidating, but the pup got in the way! When the mom layed down with her tail covering her body I was dying to pause the video for a quick sketch. So cute!in reply to: Capturing Behavior – Gesture Drawing #1001647

RaeganParticipantIll continue to use this tip! At first the newt looked like a large squiggle but i revisited it later and it looked pretty good! The springbok was the hardest but the most fun to draw. Can't wait to use this in the field!in reply to: Focusing on Your Subject – Blind Contour Drawing #1001633

RaeganParticipantI have noticed the consistent return of a rabbit at around the same time. He hops cautiously out of the invasive cesarweed and munches on the grass. Through further investigation of my question,'why does this rabbit come out at the same time every day?' I have made thehypothosis that predators (mostly hawks) are not out during the period of time. Now I am stuck in the loop of natural curiosity!in reply to: Noticing Themes in Nature #1001406

RaeganParticipantIve always had a sit spot wherever I have moved (i read about it in a book), but this time, it was even more captivating and exiting in the forest. The birds chatted in the trees as the squirrels leaped through the leaflitter. A rabbit even decided to show! Though i still wait for the arrival of my new notebook the experience of the natural world still is a cherished part of my day.in reply to: Opening Your Senses #1001402
